Greece with a baby in September

On the beach in Naxos

We took the baby to Greece at the end of September last year and though it was intimidating, it was also so incredibly rewarding. We started and ended the trip in Athens, which has some of the best playgrounds I’ve ever seen. We then took a big ferry to Naxos, which is the largest island of the Cyclades. Initially, we had considered island hopping, but the seas are a bit rough in autumn and we ended up liking Naxos so much that we decided to stay a bit longer.

We shot these photos with a mix of digital and film. We brought our Sony A7, an Olympus Stylus and a Nikonos underwater film camera. Pretty light set up!

We did not bring a stroller and the thing that made it this trip so much more enjoyable was our Deuter baby backpack, it truly is so convenient to carry around a little one, especially when the conditions are not ideal for a stroller.
